Each year many of her students win honors in area All-Region orchestras, Texas All-State orchestras, and various solo competitions.  Many of her students participate in Houston's youth orchestras, and she continues to be a regular coach with the Greater Houston Youth Orchestra. She is active as a clinician and has done clinics for Klein ISD, Spring Branch ISD, and Katy ISD. She is also string editor for Gulf Wind Music Press which is owned by her husband Steve Matchett . In addition to being a composer-arranger, Steve is a professional tubist and also teaches in the Klein area.
