The Adventure In 1990 Jim & Andrea traveled with their children on a family adventure. They joined the 300-member international crew of "The Mercy Ship" Anastasis in missionary activities. The journey began in North Carolina, continued up the east coast of the U.S., across the Atlantic and included several European ports. Extensive activities and concerts were scheduled throughout Poland and Germany. The Anastasis is part of the Youth With A Mission Mercy Ships fleet to bring much needed medical relief, assistance and Christian love to the third world nations. You can visit them here. Here is a photo of the Anastasis.
Here is a sample from the booklet that accompanies VISTAS TORSHAVN (song from VISTAS) Located north of the British Isles is the nation of the Faroe Islands. The islands were formed long ago by volcanic activity and despite their close proximity to the Arctic Circle, they are affected by the Gulf Stream and remain at a relatively mild temperature throughout the winter and summer. Most Faroese are experienced fisherman whose language and culture reflect the Danish influence. Torshavn, the capital city, is distinguished as the "world's smallest capital city." Translated as "Thor's Harbor", this port is a lovely, small town with a mixture of modern buildings and colorful wooden houses, some with thatched roofs.
