Maryanna Cannon
graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Therapy from
Sam
Houston State University in May, 2005. She begins a Music
Therapy Internship with The Institute
for Rehabilitation and Research in Houston this October. After
her internship she plans on working
with
special needs patients and children.
Maryanna received her Suzuki
Early
Childhood education through studies with Dorothy Jones, who pioneered
the
"Baby Music" curriculum in Canada. She sang with the Klein High School
Choir
and the Region 9 Choir for four years, as well as the Texas All State
Choir
for one year. Maryanna also spent two years in the vocal program at
Southern
Methodist University in Dallas. She has studied voice under Jody
Miller,
Cyndi LeForce, Dr. Tim Seelig, and Barbara Corbin.
